Where do I go to adopt a service dog


I live in sherman oaks, California.

I want to adopt a service dog that just didn't make the cut as young as possible.

I would encourage you to do a Google search for terms like "service dogs", "get a service dog", "adopt a service dog", "assistance dogs", "therapy dogs", "service dog schools", etc, and then to contact those schools directly.

Even if they don't have any dogs at that time they might be able to give you the names of some other places to check also. Your veterinarian or local groomers might know of some too and if you have a veterinary college in your area, then that's another place I would encourage you to check into. Good luck.
