The Story of My German Shepherd Bandit

Bandit, my shepard lived to be just months shy of 17 years. My children were raised with him and he was a major part of our lives. Bandit was black and tan a true male protector.
He cared for everyone in the house and the neighborhood. He has been gone for 17 years and I miss him everyday. I have never been without a dog and at one time had a chow, cocker & Bandit the shepard.
They all lived long lives and I was with out a dog for a short time. I have MS(multiple sclerosis) and needed a dog in my life. Being on disabilty I am unable to purchase another shepard, someone knew my love of dogs and brought me a pekinese, love her to death.
She is pararlized but gets around wonderfully and is so happy. Doesn't matter how many dogs I have the German Shepard is and always will be my favorite. Shepards are great with children, excellent family dogs, protective, smart, obedient, easily trained and let's not forget beautiful.
For all of you Shepard lovers and owners enjoy them a little for me. Someday I may be able to afford to have one in my life again.
