Striker, my 7 year old total water dog

Happy New Year Total GSD-

I would like to introduce you to Striker, my 7 year old (Big Baby) spoiled rotten Shepherd. Actually he is a great dog, I was raised with Shepherds and I have to say he is probably the best most mild mannered and loving shepherd I have known.

This picture was taken in Northport Michigan, at grandpa's, while he was taking a break from playing in Traverse Bay (notice his orange Frisbee). He is a total water dog, if there is water anywhere he will be running jumping and rolling in it, unfortunately, living in Michigan in December, all the water is solid, but that's ok because he loves the snow almost as much.

Striker came to us as a an 8 week old puppy just 2 days before Gunther our faithful German Shepherd of 14 years passed away, it was as if Gunther was saying "ok, my family is in good hands now, so I can move on" Gunther passed peacefully on our kitchen floor during the night. Striker made things just a little easier to handle for those few very hard days and has every day since kept us smiling and loving him as a part of our family.
