Our Family Protection Dog, Nikos

This is my 2 year old GSD named Nikos. He is our family protection dog and he loves bite work and his reward is affection and love.

This picture was taken with my phones camera at Riverfront Park in Spokane, WA when he decided to stop and smell the flowers.

Many people may not be aware about exactly what a protection dog is or does, but I think saying he watches after your family kind of like a bodyguard might be an easy way to explain it. It's amazing to see them in action practicing the bite work too. And what a transformation seeing them "on" vs. "off"

Maybe in the future you can send us some pictures of him actually while he is training and some information about exactly what Nikos does for you. But in the meantime, continued success with your handsome boy Nikos. He is definitely a wonderful example of the German Shepherd Dog breed!
