Meet Tucher, Our German Shepherd Puppy
by Nathalie Crawford
Tucher Is Our German Shepherd Puppy
This is our newest baby, Tucher (named after a German beer), he is a male and as if today (January 10, 2011) he is 10 months old. That's right he's still a puppy, most people don't believe us when we tell them that because of his size.
Many people believe that he is a Shiloh Shepherd or an English Shepherd but that isn't true, he's a full bred, long haired German Shepherd, who just happens to be big for his size.
At nine months old he was 90lbs, when we took him to the vet, which I was reassured that he wasn't overweight.
We got him when he was 8 weeks old, in a small town in Germany called Kirchheim from an extremely nice farmer who loved his puppies very much.
Our family was stationed in another small town in Germany with the military, we were there for three years, and about 4 months before we left we decided to get a puppy since we knew that once we got back to the states we would be more stable. His birth name was Gonzo

Total German Shepherd:
Hey there, Nathalie. It is good to hear from you today. Thanks so much for taking the time to come here and sharing your German Shepherd Dog puppy stories with us all here today.
And the picture you have sent in, I Love the picture too - Tucher looks soooooo comfortable just hanging out there by the sofa! He is such a handsome little fella and a stunning specimen of a coated German Shepherd Dog - I just love the coated German Shepherds. So pretty.
He is a beautiful boy and I commend you for getting him from a breeder that was really interested in all aspects of his GSD puppies life. And the fact that you got him in Germany, good for you.
Tucher is such a unique name too. I have never heard that before but I'll imagine that it will be one that I hear some more in the future.
