I recently adopted a 5mo. old white shepherd puppy rescued...she was/is pretty malnurished (weight 35lbs)...
i feed her 4 cups of solid gold wolf cub a day...what else can i give her to help w/ bone development so hip probs. don't occur?
is there a better food option? are there supplements (calcium, fish oil etc...) i should give? thanks c
Total German Shepherd:
You have her on one of the best dog/puppy foods out there so I wouldn't change her from that if she is doing well on it.
One thing I can suggest to you, if you can find it where you live, that you might want to add to her diet is a frozen dog food called BilJac. It is in the freezer section and can be found in Krogers, Publix and sometimes Petsmart and Petco in a freezer.
It is in a gold bag and weighs in around 5 lbs. and contains frozen dog food - first you thaw it out in the fridge then you can feed it to your dog/puppy - in this case I would suggest adding a half cup or so to each meal to help your GSD puppy put on some weight with a great food choice.
