Hi, We have a 8 year old GSD but she is only half the size of a normal one?

Hi, Our 8 year old GSD is very small compared to other GSD'S, She has all the markings of a gsd, Could she just of been the runt of the litter or maybe crossed with something else,
She came from a dog home so have no way of tracing her background. Also our local vet said that the difference from a gsd and an alsatian was the egyption eyes but your website suggests there is no difference?
Thanks
Total German Shepherd:
She is absolutely adorable. What a little ham you have there - she looks so content. It's a bit hard to tell from the picture since I can't see all of her, however it is very possible that she is a German Shepherd mix - part German Shepherd, part something else.
Hard to say for sure without seeing more of her, but that is what I would guess at this point from what I can see based on your description. There are dwarf German Shepherds too but this is very, very rare.
At any rate, as long as you're all happy it doesn't really matter does it but if you want to know for sure you can always run a Dog DNA Breed Identification test on her to find out exactly what she comes from. Good luck with your baby!
