I have heard conflicting reports on how much GSD shed. Can you give me the straight scoop?

We call our female GSD the Harricane...I look forward to July when she sheds the least.Its lucky
for her that she is smart, beautiful and generally
adorable...get a dyson sweeper...maybe we can get
that Dyson guy to feature a GSD in his advertising.

German Shepherds Shed - a lot. Thats the gist of it. They're a double coated breed and you can expect frequent shedding and from time to time you can expect them to blow coat - especially the girls - thats just the way it is.

They shed a lot, you will want to brush him/her from once a day to once every 2-3 days depending on how much yours sheds. If your GSD lives in the house you will want to vacuum daily
