Biddie's germation's - Super German Shepherd Mom

Biddie was the most wonderful shepherd with a fantastic sence of fun, when she had her first litter at about 4 she unfortunatally only had the two beautiful sable babies , she was also a brilliant mother and they were great big fat babies ,

i was working at a kennels at this time and when her pups were 4 weeks old and running about the living room a dalmation bitch were i worked died having her pups by c section. My boss and her daughter were trying to bottle feed the 12 pups and asked if i thought bid would take any of the pups as they thought she had only just had her litter , i said i would try and they decided to give me the 4 smallest as they didnt think they would survive ,

i brought them home and put her in the garden with her mum and gran then put the dalmations in the whelping box and covered them with the vet bed her babies had slept on the last couple of nights,i let her back indoors after half an hour and she went to the box where the dally babies were crying you could see her look at her two lumps and look at these tiny white mice like things before she got in the box curled around the babies and started washing them - she didnt get out of the box for 24 hours as she wouldnt when her own litter was born,

she then shared her time between both litters rearing them all to be fat and chunky her own two were 25lb harley and 21 lb holly when they left at 7 weeks and the germation babies gave me so much fun as they are totally mad as pups when they were on the sofa they would just step off it instead of jumping down and they would all run upstairs and throw themselves down if they got the chance i couldnt watch any tv while they were there as they never stopped playing and making a noise but they were really good fun ,

i found homes for them from my home as they were used to central heating by then and i didnt want them to go back into a kennel besides they didnt have a mum to see and were twice the size of the other pups that survived and they had been reared by bid so people could see her as she had been the one they were learning off and the other two girls as well, my boss wished she had given me the bitches as they were all boys i had been given,

one did in fact qualify for crufts the first one the breeder had had do so , we were very proud parents of him lol, she also fostered a pup in her second litter but that one was 10 days older than hers this time and was a shepherd who was being bottle fed, a really special dog indeed
