German Shepherd war dog in action
I am with the 16th MPAD (Mobile Public Affairs Detachment) at Ft. Bliss, TX. One of my soldiers, Sgt. Jarred Woods, is currently in Afghanistan covering military events. He recently released a story regarding the German Shepherd military working dogs. The public domain link to the story and photos is:
Right here The box at the bottom of the page labeled 'Connected Media' contains additional photos with cutlines regarding this story. All of these products are free to use, but please let me know if you do since SGT Woods would enjoy being informed.
Please, let me know if there is any other information that would be
useful.
Very Respectfully,

Thanks you so much CPT Friar for sharing this wonderful information with us. I find it very interesting to see these wonderful MWD's (military war dogs) in action and to hear of the various kinds of jobs that they do.
I have a feeling a lot of people have no idea what all these dogs do and can do for us every day out in the field. Most people probably think bomb or explosives detection dogs, but they do a host of jobs - everything from sentry work, scouts, messengers and mine detectors to patrol dogs, and so much more!
Thanks so much for all that you do as well in training and working with these wonderful canine soldiers and for also protecting our country and citizens everyday. Your work and dedication are sincerely appreciated by us all.
